The technology works in all sea conditions, both at rest and underway. Completely self-contained, the Seakeeper produces no drag and has no risk of damage from an impact or snag. A Seakeeper gyro can be installed virtually anywhere on the boat. Since selling its first gyro in 2008, Seakeeper has developed a growing range of models suitable for boats over 23 feet.

VACUUM-SEALED
Seakeeper’s vacuum encapsulation enables the flywheel to spin roughly three times faster, cuts flywheel weight by two-thirds, and halves power requirements. Moreover, because the critical components (flywheel, bearings, and motor) are sealed in a vacuum, they are forever isolated from the marine environment.
COOLING SYSTEM
Our patented cooling system removes heat from within the vacuum enclosure and dissipates it through a glycol/seawater combination.
